What is a Public Adjuster?

A Public Insurance Adjuster is an expert on loss adjustment and the recovery process, and is employed by the policyholder not the insurance company.

The Public Adjuster assists you, the insured, with his intimate knowledge of insurance policies and negotiation techniques, in preparing, filing and managing the payment of insurance claims regarding property loss. He works on your behalf and does NOT work for the insurance company.

After a property loss: What happens next?

When you have a loss, your insurance company will dispatch an insurance claim representative who will be either an independent adjuster or a staff adjuster. An independent adjuster represents multiple insurance companies and a staff adjuster works only for one company. Even though a company adjuster is sent to review your property damage insurance claim, the full responsibility of preparing and proving the claim falls on the insured, not the insurance company. Without assistance from a private licensed public adjuster, some coverage may be overlooked, structural and contents damages could be missed, and the claim could be drawn out, all leading to a reduction in the final settlement. When you hire us to file a claim we work as your mentor and negotiator to guide you through the maze and mountains of paperwork and complicated insurance forms.

When should I consider hiring a claims consultant?

Immediately after your loss! At no obligation to you, we will review your policy and inspect your loss. Don’t delay because the steps you take today could have a profound effect on your insurance recovery. Don’t let a disaster strike twice – call us now! Insurance companies count on errors in insurance claims submitted by the insured so that they don’t have to pay out the full amount in a settlement. We at Acclaimed Adjusters work for you and work hard to get you every dollar you deserve. Our attention to detail is always the same, regardless of the size of the claim, and our focus is on serving our clients honestly.

Must I have a large insurance claim in order to get assistance from a public adjuster?

Not when you call us!.

Can I prepare my own claim better than a Public Adjuster?

Highly unlikely. A home or business owner would not have the experience in how to present a claim in order to get a proper settlement. We are trained and have the experience in preparing, presenting and negotiating settlements. We have thousands of local references that will attest to our successful settlement of their claims. We do this every day. Do you really want to do this on your own for the first time and probably cost yourself thousands, maybe tens of thousands?

What is the fee to hire us?

Acclaimed Adjusters operates on a contingency fee basis. We are paid a small percentage by you, the insured, when you receive payment from the insurance company. We will never charge you any up front fees and there will be no out of pocket expenses for you. Our fee percentage will be mutually agreed upon and written into our contract for service. Public Adjusters charge a percentage of the net settlement of the claim, which is established at the very beginning of the claims process. Then, they are paid after the claim is settled, upon you receiving payment of your entitled proceeds. If Acclaimed Adjusters does not succeed in collecting a settlement for you, then we do not receive any money!

How much time will it take to settle my claim?

Insurance companies will attempt to settle the claim as quickly as possible … knowing that the quicker they settle a claim the less it will cost them.

Taking the time to do the right job in adjusting a loss will ensure that we have thoroughly investigated, documented, presented and negotiated a fair settlement that enables you to have all that you are entitled to based upon your loss and the coverage you have purchased. Hiring us will not delay your claim but will ensure that your claim is paid in full.
